Electric Bass
The Modern Pop Electric Bass Certification Program is a structured, groove-driven course designed to take beginners to confident, performance-ready bassists. Students develop posture, fingerstyle technique, rhythm, groove, and timing by learning real modern pop songs from day one.
The curriculum focuses on building practical bass skills inside full arrangements, teaching students how to lock with drums, play rhythmic fills, use tone effectively, and perform with precision. By the end of the program, students can play steady, expressive basslines, create grooves, add fills, and record polished performances suitable for live or studio work.

Certification
Certification is optional. To obtain it, students must pass a paid private one-on-one test in our pro studio with their instructor.

Module 1 — Foundations of Modern Bass
In this module, students establish essential bass fundamentals. They learn proper posture, right-hand technique, and basic fingerstyle (index and middle fingers).
Reading rhythms, playing root notes, and performing simple pop bass grooves are introduced, along with exercises to play consistently with a metronome.
Repertoire includes Seven Nation Army (The White Stripes), Another One Bites the Dust (Queen), Royals (Lorde),
and Happier Than Ever (Billie Eilish).
By the end of this module, students can play steady beginner basslines with solid timing.
Module 2 — Groove & Technique
This module develops movement across the neck, octave patterns, muting techniques, and groove consistency. Students practice basic slides, fills,
and locking with drum tracks while reading simple charts.
Repertoire includes Levitating (Dua Lipa), Blinding Lights (The Weeknd), Uptown Funk (Bruno Mars),
and Treasure (Bruno Mars).
By the end of this module, students play confidently with a modern pop feel and strong groove.
Module 3 — Performance & Artist Development
In this module, students focus on advanced rhythmic control, ghost notes, syncopation, walking bass intros, and creating bass fills.
Tone shaping and playing with full band tracks are introduced, along with recording techniques.
Repertoire includes Don’t Start Now (Dua Lipa), Can’t Stop the Feeling! (Justin Timberlake),
Locked Out of Heaven (Bruno Mars), and Good as Hell (Lizzo).
By the end of this module, students are performance-ready bassists with tight modern pop grooves.
